Teri McMahon

Teri McMahon is a native of the Pacific Northwest, living most of her life in the Vancouver area. She has been involved in youth ministry for over 25 years. She has been coordinator of Youth Ministry at Sacred Heart Church in Battle Ground, Washington since 1994. She has taken groups of young people on mission trips to Yakima, Washington, Tijuana, and Portland, Oregon. Her desire that young people see service and social justice as more than a "road trip" is what led to her involvement with the development of Backyard Ministries.

Teri and her husband Jim have three sons, Devin, Tyler and Ian. Besides her work with the church, Teri also runs a small cottage business.

Larry Cadorniga

Larry Cadorniga has served as the Pastoral Assistant for Youth Ministry at St. Joseph since August 2005. Prior to St. Joseph, he served as the Director of Youth Ministry at St. Aloysius in Hickory, NC for four years. He has been an active volunteer in Youth Ministry and Faith Formation since 1992. In North Carolina, he made several mission trips with Catholic Heart Work Camp working in various cities on the east coast. Being the "hands and feet" of Christ is a great way to preach the Gospel message in our world today.

Prior to his full-time life in Youth Ministry, Larry worked as an engineer for nearly a decade at Corning Cable Systems. He graduated from Georgia Tech with a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree and a Certificate in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.

Larry and his wife Amy are the proud parents of Aleyana, who is the light of their world. In their free time, they enjoy hiking, biking, and gardening. Of course, Aleyana enjoys riding on daddy's shoulders, riding in the bike trailer, and getting all muddy in the soil!

Daniel Oberreuter

Daniel Oberreuter, the lead singer of the the Catholic rock band The Thirsting, graduated from the University of Portland with a degree in Theology and a Music minor in the spring of 2003.  After strongly considering the priesthood in college, Daniel felt called to put his theology and music into action together by creating the Catholic rock band The Thirsting and working on parish levels with multiple churches in both the diocese of Seattle, Washington and Portland, Oregon.

Since the spring of 2008 Daniel has decided to devote all his time to rocking out Catholic style with The Thirsting. When Daniel is not rapping or singing on stage, his guitars of choice are a Rickenbacker 360 and a Fender strat played through a Vox AC 30.  His favorite prayers are Holy Mass and the rosary. As of 2010, Daniel has begun working at St. Joseph's Church in Vancouver, Washington leading music for the 5:30 mass and assisting with the youth program.
